I think she was saying there is hate on both sides, which is true. But what determines the degree is how it is acted upon. The left's actions clearly mark them as far more hateful.
It's an important distinction, too, because we're not talking about who's being more nasty on the internet. One side is much more consistent with burning cars, setting businesses on fire, destroying public property, creating public nuisances, assaulting strangers, etc., etc. Merely saying "okay sure that's fine and all but the other side aren't saints" isn't in the least helpful, and implies a serious lack of understanding about present realities.

Thought experiment. Say the widow I mentioned above had her car burned. You ask her, which would you rather have back? Your unburned car or your husband?
Yeah, she'd probably shrug and say he knew what he signed up for. She knows this because the President of the United States said so.
Amirite?

No. No you're not. For fuck's sake Cats, conservatives didn't kill the soldier in your example; I shouldn't have to tell you that it's an outrageous false equivalence. The guy who voted for Trump, who is in charge of the military, who has commanders sending soldiers into danger doesn't share the same liability as someone actually leaving their house and using their own two hands to set a car on fire.

The dead soldier was not my point. My point is that what Trump said to the widow over the guy's coffin right there at graveside, was staggeringly destructive, to say the very least.
Did you think I was focused on the soldier? Really?
Now that we've exchanged insults, let's call it even and rather than continuing to behave like assholes, just agree to disagree.

Why is this a conversation about Trump at all. I'm not going to try to convince you that Trump isn't an asshole. That has nothing to do with which group of people is causing more problems out there.

"knew what he signed up for … but when it happens, it hurts anyway". As reported by the New York Post, that's what Trump allegedly said.
How you can equate that with beating Jews that happen to support Trump?
