"A lot can happen to ruin your day. You could wake up to a freak storm, or roads gnarled with traffic. Your dog could throw up on the carpet. You could have the flu or food poisoning. You could just be tired. You could have a job you hate. You could get dumped… or dumped on.

    The potential nightmares are endless.

It would be wonderful then if there was some way to counteract those looming difficulties, a pair of glasses you could put on that would change how you view anything and everything that could happen. Well, the good news is that there is and it comes to us—no surprise—from the Stoics.

All you have to do, Seneca said, is tell yourself the night before that you’re going to die in your sleep. Tell yourself your life is over, that you won’t be around to see tomorrow. "When a man has said: 'I have lived!,” Seneca wrote, “every morning he arises he receives a bonus."

Living each day like it's your last is probably not a great long term plan.

            Education is extremely important.

If you define long-term as longer than 24 hours, I'd say yeah definitely.

              Please love yourself.

I’d love to hear what your last day looks like.

I'd give gratitude to the people I think deserve it. Verbal gratitude.

Yeah that wouldn’t age well. I totally see your point.
