Also, if Fauxahontas and Bernie get cabinet appointments, the Republican governors of their states appoint (until a special election is held) their replacements.

    Wouldn't that be a hoot.

Bernie's going nowhere. The Democrats won't want anything to do with him. Warren could, but I don't think she will.

Really? I haven't been paying that much attention.

We'll use CNN because, ehh, why not. They need the clicks.

                https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/results/house

Currently, they have the Dems at 219 and the Republicans at 205.

Republicans have strong leads that should hold up in: CA-21, CA-39, NY-2, NY-11, NY-22, and UT-4.

                That's 211. LA-5 is going to a runoff between two Republicans. That's 212.

They are essentially tied in CA-25 and Iowa-2. Republicans have slight leads but by well under 100 votes... Could go either way.

Nancy has no margin to work with...

Wow. I wasn't aware of the other races. I knew it was going to be tight, but this tight?

Usually administrations themselves are careful about who they pluck and consider the party of the governor who would make the interim appointment and the party’s chances in a special election.

                    You were warned.

The biggest problem for the moderates is that they are the ones that pay for the extremes. AOC, Omar, Talib, Pelosi, Presley, et al are safe. They can be as out there as they want and they will win re-election over and over. It’s the moderates that pay the price... I wouldn’t be durprised to see the Blue Dog Coalition shrink to under 15 members...
