at what point will people give in? Biden will be on the capitol podium getting sworn in in January. People can in their mind accept or not accept his legitimacy. But he will be the one sworn in. On that I have no doubt and if you question that, then someone else has their heads buried in the asses so deep they can’t see what’s obvious to most of the population including most republicans. I’ll be happy to bump this post in January for those who think otherwise.

If you choose in your mind to not accept it, that’s certainly your right but it won’t change the reality on the ground.

At what point did the democrats truly give in on the legitimacy of the Trump Presidency? Many thought he was installed by Putin and the media spent 4 years trying to prove it and the House tried to remove him.

Jon has never referred to Trump as President Trump. Oh, he managed to find one reference that was half-ass, but I don't count it. Maybe Captain Pedantic would, but Ax ain't judging this one.

At least Jon would say his name. There were multiple dipshits across the fence who would snigger as they referred to President Trump as Individual One or as I-1.

At least, if Biden is sworn in, I will refer to him as President Biden. I might spit when I do it, but I've got that much class.

what trump is doing is unprecedented

What, specifically, with regard to the transition is he doing that is unprecedented? He's disputing the validity of the election, pointless as it seems. It's a serious question. We're only 13 days since the election which he seems to have lost.

Just for a sense of perspective, 43's transition was done in 39 days, when Al Gore disputed the election.

Edit to add: I'm not justifying it by any means. Simply pointing out that it's not unprecedented.

It’s not unprecedented at all. It doesn’t seem like a good thing though.

In the 9/11 commission report, it mentioned that the short transition was a potential contributing factor to under-preparedness on terrorism.

GWB started preparing transition material 6 months ahead of the transition and work was well, well underway by the time the Obama transition started.

A terror plot was also foiled during Obama’s transition.

I seem to remember most conservatives here referring to President Obama as 'Obama'. I know I did, and I'm not even a conservative. Well ok, some referred to him as Barack Hussein Obama, and at least one routinely referred to him as Mr. Obama, generally following up with the honorific 'Two bit thug'.

Let me make sure I'm being understood. I don't have a problem with accepting it if Biden is declared the winner. What I have a problem with is the mad push going on by the media, the democrat party, and the lefties here insisting that all investigating stop immediately, call Biden the winner, and then shut up about it, all while utterly ignoring the fact that what Trump is doing is literally required by the Constitution. Heck, some are even trying to floaty the claim that these investigations are bad for the country. That's pure hog wash.

If Biden is shown to have legitimately won the election, fine. But stop pushing to end the investigations. It makes it look like you ( the collective you) have something to hide. Stop claiming that if you are in favor of letting the investigations run their course it means you're in denial, refusing to accept the outcome, etc.

You can tell me You think I'm wrong. You can tell me my candidate choice is an asshole. But don't talk down to me.

It may be that the judge has to hear the lawyers' presentations before he can apply the law as to whether the case needs to be heard. That is uniquely his job in the system.

Remember, I even said it in my post - I meant "you" in the collective, not you personally.

This narrative about judges throwing out cases is very misleading. Yes, a few small cases have been thrown out. But some have not, and many are still winding their way through the system. Plus, more is being learned every day.

Yes I understood it wasn’t me personally. And yes I personally am happy to encourage investigations on the assumption that most intelligent people will put the fraud conspiracy to rest when the courts so rule.

I'm not convinced all the pearl clutching is really justified.

I never understood that as an honorific. An occasionally impolite euphemism but not an honorific.

Got a reminder to bump this thread before the inauguration. Not sure if I remember why.
