One of the tweets seemed to imply that the rise in cases was linked to the Republican states, and perhaps therefore election rallies etc.
You have to wonder how the deaths will effect voting next time.
I've wondered the same, and not only for the campainging effect.
Given that, very generally, as people age the more right wing they are likely to become and vote, will the fact that COVID removes a far larger proportion of older people have a noticeable effect on our future elections? -

The fact that all the old folks vote Republican will be counter-balanced by the well known fact that dead people all vote Democrat.
