Releasing the kraken

Should be interesting to see regardless of what she has.
I for one could not be more excited for the Kraken.
Also - Sidney Powell as just a random lawyer can bring criminal changes against people? I don’t get that.
Don’t district attorneys (or something) bring and prosecute those?

... Apparently because the lawyers on Trump's team are legally barred from filing criminal charges against government employees or other politicians, and as an independent attorney not working for hire by Trump Me. Powell is able to pursue criminal charges.
Sigh, looks like I need to educate you on some basic civics again. Except for minor crimes (e.g., trespassing, battery in a domestic abuse case), only public prosecutors can file criminal charges. Ms. Powell not acting in the capacity of a public prosecutor cannot file criminal charges except for minor crimes — even then the court would still treat it like a civil case and the police will not arrest the defendant in these cases. For election fraud, Ms. Powell does not have any more power than Trump’s lawyers to “pursue criminal charges.”
Srsly, even if you have taken civics classes before, you need to take them again and actually pay attention, ‘mkay.

Note the Trump campaign letter distancing them from Powell was written entirely in the present tense.
I’m sure they want to retain the option to say she had been his lawyer in order to invoke attorney-client privilege to protect her emails from discovery.

I'm not making any brave predictions about this, other than to say that if the immediate future is anything like the immediate past, then I wouldn't want to get too excited.
-
I am sitting on the edge of my seat! Release the Kraken!
