Blonde jokes are oppressive, too.
Any resemblance to AOC is of course purely coincidental.

Isn’t she wonderful?
You know, I wonder if some of these chicks that have been sent to Congress lately really know what Congress is, what it actually means -- and what it means to serve there.
I know it's our pastime as a people to point and jeer at Congress, but at the same time, it is one of the three branches of the federal government of the United States of America. With a long, august history -- sometimes grand, sometimes awful, often doing the right thing. It wasn't that long ago that it was thought of with awe, with respect, with recognition of what the people in Congress do -- oftentimes even as we laughed and rolled our eyes.
Have any of these women -- the so-called Squad and this Q creature -- ever experienced such awareness? Have they ever walked the halls and marveled and felt humbled?

Her viewpoint is common in parts of the country.
That's not particularly comforting.

What if I wanna walk around with my wang out?
You know... truly live free.
Pants are oppressive.

Have at it, bud.
Fellas down here carry bigger knives than y'all do.

Exactly. I have say before. I would have more respect for someone saying something stupid like she did if she said it while completely naked.
Then at least, she would be "walk the walk"

These knobheads who think that wearing a mask is oppression have no sense of proportion.
It's live free or die, not live free and die.
Idiots.
As far as getting out goes, I bet I travel a lot more than you do, and a lot further afield too.

Get yer mirror out, Jolly. You guys have had a continuous conversation going for over 15 years.

So what?
That means pretty much nothing. There are a lot of people who only associate with people in their own socioeconomic groups or people who are in the same or similar professions.
I'm me. I'm pretty much comfortable with whomever I'm drinking coffee with. In the last couple of months, that includes a K Street lobbyist, a welder, a mechanic, several doctors, a couple of lawyers, a U.S. Congress critter, a farmer, a rancher, a couple of cops, etc.
You like to bring up the echo chamber of conservative media. I don't listen or cite conservatives or conservative media simply because that's all I listen to or the only people I talk to. I espouse those views because I think they're right.
So, my point becomes, don't just think because people are rural, that they are always blue collar or ignorant. They're not. And don't think just because people are urban, they're well educated or white collar. They're not.
Talk to people. You might even want to talk to people who voted for Donald J. Trump, because they thought it was best for the nation and that was the right thing to do.
Shouldn't be hard to find. They're 71 million of us...

I actually went to school with a load of farmers. Still kind of friends with a few of them. Also car mechanics, doctors, financial advisors and what have you. You seem to be making a few assumptions about me, too.

It's just the nature of things now. The K street lobbyist has nothing in common with the Wyoming farmer. Both think they know everything about the other based on their mental caricatures.
