The only thing holding Parler back, is that registration requires a photo copy of your ID and a valid email.
But that does help keep some if the nuts out.

Out of curiosity, I did the same.
First impression is that it is very partisan. The recommendations I got for channels to subscribe to were almost all Hannity/Ted Cruz/Tucker Carlson etc. I'm surprised that Trump himself doesn't use it. Even when searching for an unrelated tag like "Videogames", half of the posts are about how the democrats stole the election.

If you only talk with people who agree with you, that generally does not lead to a good result.
Opposing ideas and thoughts are necessary to understand, learn, and even "adapt" as you go through life.
I may not agree with everyone on this forum board, but it is good for me to hear the different opinions. Although it may be hard to believe for some, it has caused me to re-think my ideas on some things and also actually change them on others. 5555

Compare to Communist China that started enforcing a rule that says one needs to use one’s real name when registering for an account on the Internet.
FWIW, Facebook used to have such a requirement too (and it may still have it), it’s just enforced seriously.
I have not problem with Facebook or Parker or any other Internet sites insisting on “real name” registration, even if they want to a copy of your government issued photo identification. Their sites, their rules. I would oppose to letting the government impose the requirement for “real name” or photo ID for most Internet account registrations.
