Anyway, my new guy just sent me about 25 IM's telling me how he's a lot more laid back than he used to be.

    So that's ok, then.

Meaning he keeps the clip close but not actually in the rifle.

      Wanker.

      A clip is for a M1 Garand or a 6.5 Carcano. A magazine - mag for short - goes in an AR-15. Or a Glock 19.

Funnily enough, I believe my Russian friend has an M1. He might be quite handy in a crisis. He served in Afghanistan (for the USSR), and is a regular participant in Civil War re-enactments.

          Garand? Carbine?

          Or M1A? (A semi-auto version of the M-14).

So glad you didn't lose your Russian friend.

You've made him so multidimensional that he is IMO an honorary (if ghostlike) member of TNCR!

I'm not the right person to ask - I think he said Carbine, although Googling tells me that the Garand would definitely be more his style.

I haven't seen him in nearly 9 months. We attempted virtual tea breaks, but it gets a bit forced so we haven't done anything for ages.
