I'm seeing very little in the media about the lasting effects of COVID-19 on many patients. Pulmonary problems, cardiac problems, kidney problems, and other life-long ailments.

I've see a couple of pieces but all anecdotal. I don't have any sense for how common it is. I too can't wait to learn more.

I've seen figures knocking around 10-15% of hospitalized patients, but I have no idea where the writers are getting their numbers from...

COVID-19 sucks. It will take time to get a better handle on the parameters for how the suckages linger with survivors.

Glad that we enacted the Affordable Care Act that got rid of pre-existing condition exclusions, else with that many layoffs, many of these people with lasting health issues would become uninsurable under the old system.

I saw something about this but it was in context that these life long after effects occur in many viruses such as the flu. They don’t know yet if it’s more prevalent yet but if more victims you will see more. Wish I could find the article.
