Lots of hatred there, among the good points. "Never Trump" has been, and continues to be, a hand waving effort of haters who couldn't pinpoint the source of their hatred if their lives depended on it. What they'll do is to handwave the life of our society on it. That's the best they can do, and they've proven that.

Sullivan missed a huge point...Republicans went to the polls. Dems went to the post office.
If not for the largest vote by mail ever on the face of the earth, it still took outright thievery to beat Trump. And then, they barely pulled it off.
28% of the LGBTQ vote. 18% of the black males. Double the vote of black females from 2016. And quite an uptick in the Latino vote.

This nasty wave will likely be on the decline by then, the vaccine is expected to be widely available within 2-3 months of the beginning of his term.
Fair or unfair, the simple narrative will become -> Biden became President and COVID is improving.
And yes - journalists will be overly eager to connect this to Biden (who probably won't have to do too much on this front) and make a contrast against Trump.

Biden most certainly will not have fixed things the way it is playing out. It would have been great for him to have a quick win but he will face down an agenda that is at serious odds with the mood of the country and a GOP senate.
