The party will not run Pence in 24. Nikki Haley if she wants it.
Don't think I'd count that chick before it hatches.

Pence is going to retire so that he can spend more time with his fly.

Has a vice president who was defeated ever become a president in the US?
FDR was the losing VP in 1920.

“More than 200 members of staff at Simon & Schuster have signed a petition calling for the publishing house to cancel its seven-figure book deal with former vice-president Mike Pence and commit to not signing any more book deals with members of Donald Trump’s administration.
The petition was delivered to the publisher on Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported. It was signed by 216 S&S employees – about 14% of the publisher’s staff –and backed by more than 3,500 supporters outside the company, including authors such as the National Book Award-winning writer Jesmyn Ward.
...”FWIW, I am neutral about whether Simon & Schuster should or shout not publish anyone’s book. Simon & Schuster is a private enterprise and it gets to choose for itself whether to publish or not publish any particular book.

Hopefully Simon & Schuster will soon be hiring to fill 216 positions.

FWIW, I am neutral about whether Simon & Schuster should or shout not publish anyone’s book. Simon & Schuster is a private enterprise and it gets to choose for itself whether to publish or not publish any particular book.
Yes - they are within their legal rights to do this.
I think they're incompetent "professionals" that do not understand their role in society or they don't believe in liberal values.
I have way less respect for them, compared to when I thought they were just generic publishers.

The interesting part is not whether S&S ultimately gets to make their own decision. It's whether you would sign the petition, and whether you'd be glad if S&S backed down due to it, and the economic threat it represents.
So, Ax, would you sign the petition? Would you be glad if S&S backed down due to it?

There is no need for the 216 to explain why
Everyone just knows
No reason needed

My thoughts exactly.
Fire every, and I mean every one of them.

It’s their right to do it and frankly I hope they do. Time to draw this period of nonsense to a close so I applaud the outrageous actions so people will actually wake up from their wokeness.

Don't care one way or another.

Maybe I should have qualified that by saying "if you worked there". I would be disappointed in my employer if they caved to such a petition.
