If nothing else, I wear mine so I don't have to shave so often.

Wonder if Phibes has heard from family in England, I read a clamp-down on the public and lots of people angry about it.

Yeah. I used to "mow" my beard a lot more frequently than I do now. Now it's "nobody will see it, so what the hell..."

The people I know aren't particularly angry, mostly resigned to it. My in-laws own a downtown independent store in the middle of Birmingham, and they're not angry, but times are pretty tough.

Obviously, nobody reports on the regular folk who realise that it's necessary.
Breaking News: A bunch of people are staying in and watching TV!

There's quite a lot of dissatisfaction over the fact the the Southern politicians don't have a fucking clue about the north of England, but there's nothing new there. Southern wankers.

      I was only joking

Thanks, Phibes. I would follow-up with questions but don't want to derail this thread.

I've seen many "reporters" on TV talking from their sites who are wearing masks.

If I had to guess, these reporters are more than 6 feet apart, and, presumably they're not a hazard.

So, other than signaling "I'm doing the right thing!" what's the point?

Coincidentally I saw that interview. It took place inside a public building, with people running around everywhere, including close to the reporter.

Of course you are supposed to wear a mask in such circumstances.

Yeah, the 6 foot thing never appealed to me or gave me any sense of comfort. I'm a lot happier with 15.

It's a bit bizarre that people who wear masks on TV are being questioned over the need for it. Wouldn't it be better to question why people putting on a public face are not wearing them?

I think we all know the point.

In fact, I think we are all experts on the point.

Seen on a blog, which makes some interesting observations.

Not to mention having the sunglasses on, on an enclosed plane, but then taking those off too when he got out into the sun.

In his remarks: "“Thank you all very much. And President Moon — Yoon, thank you for everything you’ve done so far,” Biden said as he concluded his remarks.

Moon Jae-in was the prior president. The current president is Yoon Suk Yeol.

We're gonna need a Joe Dementia thread, LOL.
