Due to the pandemic, as recently as maybe 2~3 months ago, I had the hair style pictured in left most picture in the second row from the top. My currently hair style is still like that, but with longer hair.

In the 70's a handy second job for serial killers who were taking a bit of a break or a little down on their luck was barbershop model.

I don’t recall these looks as being the standard. Maybe they were the inspiration for what was popular.
