"Mr. President, why haven't you been able to get poor people the help?"
Nice moderator.

Mr. Biden said more than once that we should wear a mask at all times.
But he isn't wearing a mask.

The mike is muted, but you could hear Biden sigh.
Nice editors.

Oh, so immigration reform failure was Obama’s fault. Ok, Joe.

Biden is quite on point.
Not right, but not addled or feeble.

This whole thing has been downright cordial, compared to the last one.

It has, exceptTrump has kind of gone off the rails on minutiae from time to time.

I only watched a bit of it but it seemed a far better debate than last time.

He was off two days for prep.

I didn't hear any Hunter Biden references. But I only watched the last 20m and maybe 2m in the middle of the first half hour.
Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it came up probably multiple times, I just didn't catch it.

Trump talked quite a few times about the Bidens' supposed deals with foreign entities, accusing the Bidens of taking money from foreign entities. Biden denied having done so.
The moderator, as best she could, pulled the debate back to policy matters.

Hey Larry, who won the debate?

From what I glean from Twitter there doesn’t seem to be anything about this debate that will still be a subject of discussion in 48 hours.
Agree? Disagree?

Agreed. Neither one did great or particularly badly. Biden did show pretty convincingly that the dementia thing is nonsense. Trump hammered on him pretty well on some key issues, but at other times went a bit off the rails on tiny, meaningless things.
The number of people that have early voted so far is a stunner.

Trump: "We've rounded the corner [on coronavirus] - it's going away"
That's clearly complete bullshit.
Biden: "The coronavirus spikes are in red states"
That's bullshit too.
I wish these assholes could be honest about something this important.

Yeah, and that was the very next sentence after Biden said "I don't see things in red and blue states, I see the United States".

The other weakness was his claim that he would lock down the virus, not the country. No detail whatsoever. in short, they will both do the same things.

What does it matter anyway? Over 25% of the ballots are already cast.

Bad for the country. Good for many people, but bad for the country.
