Unfortunately, that is President Trump.
So in your mind, it doesn't matter that it was clearly a hypothetical and Trump made it clear himself that the call never happened, you still think we should bash Trump about it as if he had actually claimed the call is real...
And you don't see how silly that is?

What Trump described is illegal I think, so Exxon probably just wanted to clarify that they don't do that.

I remember learning this when I was less than 10 years old. (fast forward to 1:00)

Since his point was not to describe an actual situation and he was just riffing during a rally, it doesn't matter one way or the other.
Which Presidents didn't riff about illegal actions at their political rallies, amirite?

He wasn't riffing about illegal actions. He was talking about his ability to fund raise. You are the one who decided it was illegal.

He was describing bribes. (Permits for contributions)
The distinction between lobbying and bribing can sometimes be nuanced. Not in this case though.

You do realize you are making the same point that Trump was making, right?

LOL, I remember one time when Biden was bragging at a rally about getting a prosecutor fired for investigating his son in Ukraine. Good times...

Trump's point was that he can get lots of campaign contributions through bribes... but he won't go there... but he could.... but he won't...
