My kids are going to school, and to work, and I think the benefit for them is worth the risk. Standing in a crowd with your tongue hanging out for some dumb-ass reason isn't.

Well, that's true for me too. But I'm not eating out, I'm not going to the office, I'm not visiting friends or family, I'm not flying. To counter-balance this, the dog gets a lot of walks, and my bike is going to need an overhaul with the miles I'm putting on it.

Also, I figure if you can't live without going to a political rally then your life has got to be pretty bleak anyway so maybe Covid-19 would come as a bit of a relief.

Lack of masks or even the pandemic generally is not what keeps me away. If that many people can get genuinely excited over the fuckassery that passes for politics today then I might have to revisit my stance on injecting Ritalin in our drinking water.

Having once tried Ritalin with fairly surprising and hyperactive results, I'm not sure that would actually have the effect that you think it would.
