When does the infection with SARS-CoV-2 become non-"active?" I genuinely don't know.
The recommended quarantine period is 14 days. That's what Rand Paul and others have done.
Is it different if you've been hospitalized? Are you still infectious?

It doesn’t help that he didn’t take the test in Cleveland and the White House still won’t say when his last negative test was.
Not to mention his entourage not wearing masks despite having agreed to the rules.

I have a lot of respect for Senator Dole. I think I mentioned that I was able to "tag along" on an Honor Flight, which takes World War 2 veterans for a day trip to Washington DC. If he is feeling well, he is always there to greet the veterans at the World War 2 memorial. (Of course, this was before the COVID.)
