Looks like it's weakening and will be a tropical depression by the time it gets to you. Unfortunately Lake Charles area will get hit with a Cat 2. What are you hearing down there?

      When it gets here?

I get the eye. Sustained, 70mph. Gusts, 80+.

      6-10 inches rain.

Still plenty to wreak havoc and take power out. Wishing you and yours safety, power and being spared the damage.

Well, maybe we'll get lucky and Delta will decrease more rapidly than forcast as it hits the colder shelf water today. Long as I don't catch a tree in the house, I'll be fine. I've got 28 gallons of gas and fifty pounds of ice. Let's hope the power situation isn't as much fun as Laura. Biggest problem I gave, is having to work this weekend...Hate to leave the wife alone. Instead of leaving at 0500 Saturday morning and driving across the bridge in the middle of all this, I think I'll let my boss cover for a few hours.

He better pray I don't get cut off by floodwater or he'll be stuck at work.

Yes, Jolly, please stay home and safe during this. I bet your bride would appreciate it.

I'll stay home, but I'm a menace to myself. I was doing some trenching out in the rain and busted my butt in about four inches of muddy water. Had to strip off my muddy clothes on the carport and rinse them in a five gallon bucket before my wife would let me in the house.😄

                Good thing I don't melt.

Well, I lied...I'll stay home in the morning and I'll go in at 1000 or so...
