The VEEP debate

She answered her first question. He ignored his.

Two specifics - a national testing plan and making vaccine free.
He on the hand totally ignored the disproportionate number of deaths.
-
He’s using the American people as human shields for his administration’s incompetence.
I doubt anyone buys it.

He said that, if everything were done right, we'd be looking at 200K deaths or not. I have no idea if that's true or not, but his response was, well, responsive.

You cannot be serious. She did anything but answer the question.
She gave two answers I've twice spelled them out already in this thread.

VP Pence just did a good job of totally ignoring the question about if the president dies. Tried to go back and talk about swine flu, which nobody in the US really remembers. That was not a good talking spot.
-

True.
BUt...he brings it back to memory saying, I thought effectively, that 60M americans got the swine flu. Had it been as lethal as SARS-CoV-2, we would be looking at millions of dead.

True.
-
Yeah but even that doesn’t make sense because the response has to be a function of the lethality.
-
I agree with Pence on the clarity of the choice.
