I'm not nearly as concerned about a proclamation to "open back up" because that could mean damn near anything. I'm worried about implementation. As an example, for me personally, I might have to forfeit my job because I'm in a higher risk group and my employer might be inflexible regarding physical presence in the office.
I really don't see what in God's name putting people unnecessarily at risk of dying vs. adding to layoffs accomplishes. It should be beyond obvious that remote work should still be prioritized as much as organizations are capable of making that decision.

Absolutely, but I know it's not. At all. A shitload of employees, managers, and business owners either think this is a silly liberal conspiracy, or they're so ignorant that they actually think they can control normalcy.
No matter how they do this, many people are going to get sick and die from completely avoidable stupidity. I really hope we try to mitigate that.

That's why I thought it interesting the first bunch that are making plans are all Dems, all NE.

But I thought the Bad Orange Man was going to kill everyone, by just talking about opening up the economy...

You can still think that if you want, this shouldn't change anything for you.
But it should for you.
-
I don't think you're going to have that. The looming question is what are you going to have?

Because we're talking about decisions that will greatly inform the extent of the next months' body count I honestly don't give a fuck. I'm concerned either way.
