If any of Trump's inner circle get deathly ill, the debate is going to get really, really nasty.
And no, I don't want that to happen, not at all.

If any of Biden's inner circle get deathly ill, the debate is going to be silent.

Democrats, at least those in elected federal government positions, do not get COVID.

At this point have more people in Trump’s entourage been arrested for crimes or infected with Covid?

As far as I can see, there's nothing concrete being reported about Christie, which is rather concerning.

Are there rumors out there?
I simply hadn’t heard a thing.

Hearing nothing is a license to create a rumor.

In a honest moment who would have bet both Christie and Trump would have done so well against Covid. The real question is why is that so surprising.

You say that as if we know how well they did.

Since only between 97% and 99.75% of people do this well

Chris Christie, after seven days in ICU, has something to say:
"I believed that when I entered the White House grounds, that I had entered a safe zone, due to the testing that and I and many others underwent every day. I was wrong. I was wrong to not wear a mask at the Amy Coney Barrett announcement and I was wrong not to wear a mask at my multiple debate prep sessions with the President and the rest of the team," Christie said in a statement obtained by NBC News.
.
"Every public official, regardless of party or position, should advocate for every American to wear a mask in public, appropriately socially distance and to wash your hands frequently every day. At the same time, we should be reopening in every corner of this nation under these guidelines," Christie said.
