Former Republican National Security Officials endorse Joe Biden
    https://www.defendingdemocracytogether.org/national-security/

These are former national security officials who previously served during the administrations of Reagan, Bush(41), Bush(43), and/or Trump, or as Republican members of Congress.

They published a long-ish statement with a ten point list, but the TL;DR version is that they think Trump is unfit to lead and Trump imperils American's security. They believe "Joe Biden has the character, experience, and temperament to lead this nation" while acknowledging that their policy positions may differ from Biden's.

That and $1 will buy you a cup of ☕ at McDonald's.

They'll even put the sugar and cream in it for you...

Yes, former Republican national security officials endorsing Joe Biden is as common and as reasonable an occurrence as a cup of ☕ at McDonald's.

So what is the denominator and how many are for Trump? How many of those are democrats?

Isn’t that the right way to look at this?

What Ax doesn't understand, is that a major shift happened in the GOP. The Bushies and many of the RINOs got tossed out of power. They don't like it.

Instead of shutting up and closing ranks like the Dems, they throw a temper tantrum.

From my think, the Republic party of today is nothing like the Republic party of before. Maybe a lot of Republics from the Reagan/Bush time would not be a part of the Republic party of today.

But, maybe many of the Republics of today would not think the policies and concepts from before would not be acceptable today.

But I also think it is incorrect to say that President Trump is carrying on the Republic tradition. If so, it is a very different tradition than before.
