“Change for your dollar”

The funny (?) thing is that about 2 weeks ago I went to Home Depot to buy some lumber. I needed a couple of 1 X 2s. The total came to about $2.85. Rather than pulling out my wallet and finding a $5 bill, I just tapped with my watch and it went straight to my credit card.
As Klaus said, quite a while ago, "I don't remember the last time I used cash."
(actually, I do - I got a haircut about 3 weeks ago, and Angelo takes only cash)

Hmm.. what are you doing with 1 bys?
Mrs. George wanted to have a little table where G2 could set up his wooden-track trains when he comes and visits. I had a piece of ¼" plywood that we were using, but he kept on pushing the cars over the edges. So I bought some 1 X 2s and screwed them in around the edges (after cutting the plywood down to size).
I was able to cut everything down to size using a cheap knockoff of a Japanese pull-saw. Worked great, but, sometimes, I really miss having a shop.

There should be shop space you can rent for a few hours or days or whatever.
