I knew that CD selling has decreased, but I did not realize it was so small in today's world.

Cassette tape is making a comeback. Teac and others have new Cassette Tape Decks available.

Here is the current state of my system. Yes, there are two reel to reel tape decks and even a cassette deck. Two RtRs because there are different formats and speeds. The Teac on the main rack is for 4 track tapes that run 3.75 ips / 7.5 ips and the Pioneer RT-1050 on the stand to the right is a 2 track 7.5ips and 15ips deck. The Pioneer has interchangeable head assemblies and can also play 4 track tapes but I leave the 2 track head installed to play 15ips master tapes exclusively.

Yesterday was our yearly listening of JCS. I have an original vinyl pressing, a remastered vinyl pressing from just a couple of years ago and an original reel to reel tape. We listened to the tape yesterday. The new remastered 45rpm Alan Parsons Project, A Turn of a Friendly Card arrived Friday. It's a great album.
