True. Though in fairness most on the map have only a minority defacating openly. Most people in these countries use actual shit holes.

Not so open air public defecation, but I gotta get something off my chest…
I’ve seen this x2 in the past few years in public areas inside hospitals. Zippo no one was rushing in to clean it up. Everyone stepping around it. In one instance I was reprimanded by a nurse, she threatening to call security on me for voicing up her rationale for leaving the mess there.

Kind of amazing that a dozen years ago, UNICEF funded this wild music video in an effort to get Indian people from pooping in fields, on streets, and everywhere but the bathroom.

India is such a country of contrast. I am not sure I have seen/met richer people, but not sure I have seen/met poorer people. And often of the times, they are living very close to each other.
