Green Party get their first ever British by-election win in Gorton and Denton. Labour in 3rd place after Reform. Labour focused on the threat from Farage, possibly overlooking the crusty greens.

Funnily enough, I lived in Gorton, Manchester for two years in the 1980's. I think it's fair to say that it was 'a bit rough'. At the time, it was a massive Labour stronghold.

    I was only joking

The green seem to have forgotten that the green is for the environment, not Islam.

Easy to campaign, tough to govern.

This is from 10 years ago...

          https://www.theguardian.com/cities/the-northerner/2016/jun/20/forgotten-neighbourhood-gorton-manchester-decline-urban-regeneration

Living there in the 80's was just awful. Quite a lot of Manchester improved substantially after the IRA did the city a big favour and blew up the city center in 1996, but the improvements didn't extend that far.

          I was only joking
