I've been watching the feed of the bald eagles since Jodie posted it last year, when we got two more eagles successfully fledge.

Two eggs laid so far this year - a raven just ate one of them 😞

    I was only joking

The eagles are killing machines - when the chicks are hatched they bring up 2-3 fish a day, and quite a few coots.

The raven couldn't believe it's luck - she'd left the nest for a couple of hours for some reason, but it was still very cautious.

Oh no!! I just started watching again, but saw that the nest was unguarded for quite awhile this afternoon. 😢

I'm not convinced that Jackie is quite as fantastic a parent as her followers on Facebook think she is. As they were posting about how humans could learn a thing or two about parental responsibility and the beauty of nature, a raven had its beak right in one of her eggs. It was enormously upsetting, but to be honest she doesn't seem to care that much.

Hard to tell with most animals. I mean, even your dog sat in front of you looking up into your eyes, wth is he thinking?
Food, walk, play, you smell funny...
