I just saw an ad that said, "Bravery has a face..."

    "Bravery?"

    Really?

    What's wrong with "courage?"

The saying, "Lite is just one damn thing after another," is a gross understatement. The damn things overlap.

You come from the country that gave us 'burglarize', 'winningest', 'impacted', 'lawmakers', and two-time (as an alternative to double).

I think it's a little late to start complaining about perfectly good words.

From the sauce of all wisdom, a/k/a the internet:

Bravery is the ability to confront something painful or difficult or dangerous without any fear. It's a quality, not a state of mind; it doesn't need a cause to awaken it. ... Courage, on the other hand, is the ability to confront something painful or difficult or dangerous despite any fear.

      I was only joking

            Of course it’s a word.

I’m reminded of my son when he was little. For something he wasn’t afraid of, he would say “Don’t worry, I’m brave of that.”

Sort of modeled off of “I’m afraid of that”.

OK, OK, I'll stand down. I'd just never heard it in that context.

But, I'm a geezer and I was on my 2nd (cheap) Scotch of the evening my memory fails.

              Mea culpa.
