The Virgin River Gorge - about 30 miles across the northwest corner of Arizona between Las Vagas and Utah. Sheer rock walls. Drove it coming and going.

Highway 9 eastbound through Zion. The scenic drive was closed to cars yesterday. had we gone 1 day earlier we could have driven it. I can't imagine it could have been more spectacular than what we saw.

We stayed in St. George Utah last night and explored a bit. There is an enormous Mormon temple there, a couple city blocks, the whole grounds decked out in gorgeous Christmas lights. It was stunning. The pictures don't do it justice. Downtown was beautifully decked out too.
