This video is a prime example for my theory that mankind as a whole is in the process of deevolving. This is the opposite of evolving. Man has gone through an extensive evolution process over millions of years and his brain has made a slow climb to help us create the advanced society we live in today.
This new “sport” has direct corollary to man’s future. I believe we have almost reached the apex of what mankind will achieve and our brains are much more powerful than we give them credit for and can instinctively read the future of things. And that future is the doom of society as we know it.
Whether it be mother nature releasing the kraken (raising the temperature, lowering the temperature, erasing the ozone layer, deadly virus, etc) or world war 3 with great nuclear missile exchange, our brains are actually redirecting their focus to survival and not enlightenment. Survival in the aftermath of any of the aforementioned calamities will count on one’s ability to navigate through a world of unforgiving brutality. Think Mad Max times. The changes may be so subtle, that they don’t register with our conscience, as evolution is a long slow process. But then again, we are talking about de-evolution and that process is something we have no idea of its timeline for noticeable change. Who knows, it may be a very accelerated thing and the brain if it has anything, it has an instinct for survival. My brain smells a great war around the corner, and it will be man’s undoing of himself directly and not necessarily the wrath of mother earth. Any idea where Sardinia lands on China and Russia's priority list of targets?

Not so dissimilar from a marathon. Putting yourself through an objectively painful and unhealthy ordeal to see if you can do it better than other people.

      Education is extremely important.

We're not devolving, we're behaving the way we always have. We're a territorial, competitive and basically violent species. Evolution has just not caught up with our technical advancements that created civilization and thus made those traits less desirable.
