      Kia makes very decent cars.

My Hyundai Santa Fe is more or less the same car as the Kia Sorento. No problems whatsoever in the five years that I have it.

Kia is also the only car maker which offers a 7 year warranty (for up to 140,000km). Hyundai is the only car maker which offers a 5 year warranty with unlimited km.

I see a bright future for South Korean cars. Much brighter than for German cars.

Hyundai/Kia are giving the Japanese a real run for their money.

Outstanding warranties, and some seriously interesting cars:

        Stinger

        Genesis

Yep. 30 years ago they were junk. Now they are real competitors.

I saw a Genesis G70 when D3 and I were shopping last year.

            Damn, that thing looked great.

Toyota and Datsun ran this play decades ago.

Interesting that Samsung wanted to get into the car market but had the bad timing of just getting started when the Asian economic crisis started in the late 1990's. So, they ended up only making a few cars under the Samsung name.

(In addition, I heard that the Korean government put pressure on them to stop production, as they did not want to cause all the Korean car makers to go bankrupt).
