    Read the thread.

The data doesn’t technically state that. It states non-binary. A few graphs relate to sexuality, but remember that an XY pretending to be a XX and likes XY considers himself straight, not gay. And an XY pretending to be XX that prefers XX considers themself a lesbian.

Nitpicking aside, it’s still likely indicative of a welcome trend, it supports the whole social contagion argument, but it’s also still a long way to go. It may be back to 2019 levels, but the whole thing ramped up drastically from 2010. It would be good to see it get back to those levels.

I noticed that but I would assume that the number of people calling themselves non-binary and the number of people claiming to be the sex they aren’t is highly correlated.

          Hence my second paragraph…

I’m still not seeing how this all ends. Do the numbers just drift back down, we see high detransition rate, and society just lets it disappear into the background memory and just a trivia question note in the future? There have been a ton of kids seriously hurt by all of this and an absolute shit-ton of culpability. Anything from just a passive enabling to actual medical billing fraud and the physical mutilation of these kids whether by pharmaceuticals or by surgery. Does society just shrug and say “that was a weird time” and move on?

And the chilling thing where politicians, judges, and the education system collectively stated that individuals with 3 years studying communications in college then hurry up and fit in a 1 year education certification so they can actually get a job have the right, privilege, and responsibility to make medical decisions for students under any circumstances? This whole “it takes a village” thing sounded nice in the 90s, but needs to killed with an axe then doused with gasoline, and immolated.

I think medical liability will ultimately end the practice for juveniles.

              Let's hope so.

Could it also be that guys figured out they were always going to be ugly ass girls?
