Hey Mik…

@Mik or any other winey people. I’m hosting a small reception tomorrow. Maybe 25 people. How many
boxesbottles of wine should I have? And just one red and one white option? What types should we offer? There will also be bottled beer, bottled water, and a few soft drink options as well as a few cheese and cracker and fruit trays. -
Yeah, for piano sales you don’t want box wine, although much of it is quite good. So let’ say 2/3 will drink wine so you probably want to serve no more than a couple glasses per person, 10 ounces. So I’d say six whites and four reds should be more than enough. What’s your budget?

Now caveats are I don’t know what the event is and how long. Duration and topic can be important.

Sure…

$15?

For $12 I like Matua Sauvignon Blanc. It's my house white. Whatever you pick, make sure it has a screw cap. You don't want to mess with corks at the event. Not finding much in reds with that qualification so you might have to do cork. I like the Coppola Diamond Collection Cabernet. The Claret is pretty good too but I preferred the cab.
Both available at Harris teeter.

Any jazz musicians attending?

If this is still current I would include some bottles of bubbles. Even people who don’t drink wine enjoy a prosecco or cava of some sort.
