Beautiful. Did the rental come with a boat?

    Education is extremely important.

Just kayaks and paddle boards. That one is theirs.

If you don't take it, it can only good happen.

Nice area. I once vacationed near there at a small inn near keuka lake. Mennonite area.

I’ve been wanting to do a summer rental in that area for some time. Someplace with nice boating/swimming access, kind of remote but with a small hospitable town with a few decent midprice restaurants, but also an easy drive to an amusement park for a day trip. Any recommendations?

I don’t know about amusement parks. Watkins glen is a nice day trip.

Actually canandaigua should fit the bill. There’s Sea Breeze amusement park in Rochester. Small but fun and on the water.

There might be something closer to Syracuse too.

Thanks! I just picked out a likely target… Do you think Memorial Day would be a bit early for water temperature?

Actually the Six Flags in Darien Lake (near Buffalo) is about the same distance and much bigger

                      Bigger ain’t better…

So here’s the thing. May-August, our schedule’s pretty clean. With Finley being homeschooled, we can head out most any time. Do would it be better a few weeks later but before the kids get out of school in mid-June?

Yeah especially if it’s during the week. Weekends are more pricey. But yeah getting there while upstate ny is still in school is a good idea.
