    https://www.thecut.com/article/karolina-krzyzak-raw-vegan-bali-death-eating-disorder.html

At 11 p.m. on December 8, 2024, the night clerk at Sumberkima Hill, a private villa resort overlooking the mountains of Bali, was at his desk when a Polish woman named Karolina Krzyzak checked in. She had made a last-minute reservation through WhatsApp requesting a villa with a pool. She also had two specific dietary requirements: She would need her meals delivered directly to her room, and the meals would have to be only fruit.

    and

Krzyzak reportedly did not leave her villa for the next two days, except to sit on the veranda.

She eventually grew weaker and was unable to turn over in bed, requiring help from hotel staff to move.

On December 11, her acquaintance became concerned that Krzyzak had not replied to her messages and asked the hotel staff to check on her.

They later found her lying on the floor unconscious, with her skin grey and mottled, and her hair nearly white.

Struggled with body image since teenage years, adopted fruit-only diet
Krzyzak was known for wanting to move to Bali and was especially drawn to a group of raw-vegan influencers known as fruitarians, who ate only fruit.

She had strongly believed in the philosophy of clean eating — that consuming pure foods could purify the mind and spirit

@taiwan_girl you subscribe to New York magazine? That's a coincidence, I subway surf. Very similar.

      Education is extremely important.
