      I was really adamant about exposing the boy to typical allergens as a baby.

          Makes perfect sense.

          Similar article I read that since US houses have become much more energy efficient, allergies have increased. Less exposure for kids to different things growing up as less stuff coming into the houses.

                Probably more babies being delivered via C-Section is also a factor. Lots of stuff a baby gets exposed to going through the birth canal.
