      Dont know much about that case, but the below comment in the article was interesting.

      Lyle Menendez's illegal possession of cellphones in prison was another point made by the commissioners.

      From what I have "heard", it is pretty common for prisoners to have cell phone/iPads, etc. and a lot of times, the guards know about it and let it go. Keeps the prisoners occupied and less likely to be getting in trouble.

      Dont know if that is true in maximum prisons or not.

        They may have been looking for reasons to deny them. Which I fully support. They should never ever go free.
