Cool. Reading that I learned that the club foot guy with the 63yd field goal is no longer the record holder. He was for ages.

The Steeler’s kicker is asking for a well deserved raise. He’s been the most accurate kicker the last two years, especially 50+ yards out and in clutch situations. I was chuckling after that kick last night, imagining the negotiation today…

Steelers GM: “Hey Chris, come on in! Wow, that was some kick, last night, wasn’t it? And we got to see it in person! I think that kick would have been good from 75 yards! Wow! That's got to be about the limit when there's all the pressure of the opposing team running you down.

In rugby the record for a penalty is 81 yards; and it was at an angle, 5yards in from the touchline.
