        Bad reviews on build quality and malfunctioning features. But they have delayed building a $4B plant in NC.

          I confess the idea of buying a Vietnamese car doesn’t appeal to me.

          But I would have said that about Korea a couple decades ago and they make good cars now.

            The Koreans are much better but not up to Japanese standards yet. On the other hand, the 2000 Hyundai Elantra wagon I inherited from my dad and my daughter drove for a few years that I sold to my cleaning lady's daughter 10 years ago is still on the road.

              Test drove a Vinfast SUV in early 2023.
              It drove just fine.
              Nothing particularly noteworthy except maybe the very large, portrait oriented touch screen with in the middle of the console. 🤷
