The federal administration is asking the states to give it Medicaid application data, SNAP food stamp recipient data, voter rolls, etc.

Republicans used to be 10th Amendment, states rights, federalists that resist this sort of things. Now only the Democratic governors are suing in federal courts to try to stop the federal government from getting these data.
