    Thanks Trump.

I wonder to what extent we can recover.

Folk with any nouse know Trump is an anomaly, and still look to the USA as world leader for long term liberty, democracy, opportunity.

That was an easier case to make in 2020.

The USA do elect its leaders democratically.
The world sees that the U.S. electorate elected Trump after having seen what Trump did in 2017-2021.

Even today we have US voters saying they would still vote for Trump again having seen everything Trump has done in 2025 to date.

These complicate the excuse/argument that Trump, now, is an "anomaly."

We won't really know whether he's an anomaly until his Republican successor his chosen. Will the GOP pick another MAGA type, or will they go back to something different?

            I was only joking

The thing is that President Trump has power with his followers almost more because of his personality than his policies.

He can change his policies 180 and his followers will give great support to whichever side he picks. First they were against it, then they were for it. (See US steel sale)

Dont think there is anybody on either side that has such a hold on their followers.
