CT is #1 for pizza. NY is #1 for garbage politicians.

Have you ever been to Connecticut?

You are correct to fact check my CT assertion but not my NY assertion. Obvious facts are obvious.

Have you ever been to NY? ( not that one would need to in order to judge its politicians, just curious)

As you know, I dislike traveling and don't consider it an accomplishment, so I haven't been very many places. But I have been to NY. I competed there as a collegiate athlete.

All of you guys, sit down.
In our state, we have governors making license plates!

Also just give me a list ferchrissakes: https://www.thedailymeal.com/eat/101-best-pizzas-america-2020/slide-25

That would make Cuomo a Number 2?

And in a list of the 100 best pizzas, only two are in Chicago?
I see some selection bias there.

and none are in Italy.
I've had pizza in Northern Italy. It was like a different food, and in a good way.

I was on the rowing team my freshman year and took an east coast trip to compete against Navy at Annapolis, and also had a race at Syracuse.

It is said that rowing is one of the best overall exercises person can do

Yep. I am not naturally gifted in endurance sports so it all hurt pretty badly.
Legend had it that it is possible to push oneself too hard and increase risk of dying early of a heart attack. Someone told us that it happened a lot to Japanese rowers. We all shrugged it off. Then the guy who pushed himself hardest on the whole team, part of my own freshman class, who ended up on the USA national team, died at 38, of a heart attack. I wrote a post about him at the old board.

That just reeks of privilege.

There was a lot of that on the team. Rich kids from east coast private high schools with rowing teams. But I was a second class rower who'd never picked up an oar until I got recruited for the team out of the freshman orientation lines. They were looking for extraordinarily good looking people.

Yep. Calling American pizza “pizza” is a textbook example of cultural appropriation.

I don't care much for either east coast or Chicago pizza. Neapolitan and Detroit (Sicilian) style for me.
