On a bit more serious note...

I wonder why they gave him a big monument of a tomb rather than just buried or burned him.

        Education is extremely important.

Jewish custom of the day was a quick (within hours) burial or entombment... If you had little or no money, they'd do a direct ground burial. Jesus was prepped for burial and placed in a tomb that belonged to Joseph of Arimathea. Custom was to anoint the body with oils and spices, and wrap in a cloth. A lot of tombs had kokhim or carved ledges where the body would be placed. After a year, the tomb would be unsealed and the bones put in a box, which was then stored within the tomb.

              Happy Easter everyone.

Surprised how much is open today here. Many retail stores were closed on Good Friday but things are open today. Granted I’ve been in touristy areas mostly. But in my not-so-touristy neighborhood in Barcelona this morning the usual pastry shops were open in the morning.

              Only non-witches get due process.

                Can’t complain about that.
