      Actually it does not surprise me at all. It's a series that goes to great lengths to present possibilities undreamed of, even in sci-fi. That describes Musk to a t.

        Douglas Adams really was British writing and humour at its best. Along with Terry Pratchett and then Neil Gaiman, he pretty much created a very English sub-genre of science fiction and fantasy.
