Captain Fred Benning gets a base named after him
-
I imagine someone on Sec. Hegseth staff getting called into the office.
"Check for any military members who had a last name the same as one of the bases. See if they have done anything even remotely good. Make sure they're dead."

And I've read the book.

Now, bring back Fort Hood.

I just think it is kind of funny. Does not affect me on one side or the other.
But...................
Change the name of a fort? No way!! There is history, tradition, etc. That is the name it has always had. It would be disrespectful to do so.
Change the name of a major body of water?! Great ideal!!!!
