It seems like the front runner to replace Trudeau is now polling ahead of the Conservatives (Pierre Poilievre) because the latter is seen as too close to Trump (which wasn’t a problem until recently).

Renauda probably has a sharper perspective on this - I just go by what my friends are saying.

Trump is such a chaos agent.

Yes, and I have pointed it out a couple of times here since the provocations about annexation and tariff threats started. Trump is single-handedly dismantling the chances for the Conservative Party of Canada to win the upcoming federal election. Electorate confidence in Poilievre’s leadership and the federal Conservative Party is right now evaporating like steam from a kettle.

        Unforced errors.

Possibly. But that would imply the provocateur actually knows what he is doing in the first place. I see little or no evidence of that level of competence.

Trump's effect on Canadian elections. Unnecessary. Canada is an ally and friend or was. Any disagreements or inequities there are between us pale in comparison to the value of the relationship.

              See my edited post above.

Anyways we’re on the same page on this file of folly.
