Hilarious stage play. I auditioned for the part of the director but didn’t get it.

Granted, the play is usually better than the movie.

But if you've ever done any theater, it's hilarious. Things happen.

Years ago I was doing a play in which I played the role of a janitor. There was a short comedic scene where I was supposed to dance with a mop.

I accidentally stepped into a small wastebasket and tried to complete the scene stomping around like a dancing pirate with a pegleg, until I kicked the damn thing off, skittering it across the stage and falling on my butt in the process.

The audience laughed so hard, I had to repeat that silliness each night for the rest of the (Thank God!) short run.
