1st Motorcycle to Sell for more than USD$1MM

Over the past week auction house Mecum ran over in Las Vegas its annual motorcycle sale. A great deal of incredible motorcycles crossed the auction block, selling for more or less impressive figures. Only one of them, though, managed to go over the $1 million threshold (by a lot, really), and also become the first bike in history to do that.
The bike in question is a 110 years old Cyclone V-twin painted yellow and looking better that it did more than a century ago thanks to the efforts of restoration expert Stephen Wright. By today's standards, it's not impressive in any way, but for collectors it is perhaps the most sought-after possession.
Cyclone is a name that hasn't been spoken actively in the moto industry for more than 100 years. Back at the turn of last century it was in the market of making race motorcycles, and became the first company in the U.S. to produce an overhead-camshaft motorcycle.
Cyclone was not around for long, as it only made bikes (and a very limited number of them at that) for three years or so. But each and every one of these machines had the potential of becoming forces to be reckoned with, and that makes them highly collectable.
