I go to Canada every two weeks or so. I don’t think you guys have any idea how big of an issue this stuff is over there. I’ve never seen Canadians so unanimously feel any emotion like this….. that’s a lie the international hockey tournaments are the only comparable.

For example - Canadians who have been in lock step with US on opposition to China are now considering aligning with China..

I hear the same from my Canadian relatives. They're plenty pissed.

      Hell, they're not even apologizing.

It will never not be advantageous to have solid trade relations. That principle will last longer than emotion, and America can effect a practical apology at the ballot box, if it comes to that.

        Education is extremely important.

People are starting to get laid off, it hasn’t quite taken off, but things could get bad if these tariffs stay on.

I don’t think people decide to give US another chance that easily if Trump remains obstinate.

At the margin this will be a risk in every business case going forward.

Some non-culture-war stuff that the Dems also own, and to their electoral discredit. This conversation between Ezra Klein and Jon Stewart has been making the rounds on conservative media. It's about crippling economic regulations, and the left's love for them.

I really do think Trump has sobered up the left, and that is good for everybody.

I’m at least discriminating. I take it all out on the two resident MAGAts here. Those two and any fellow Canadians that show slightest sympathy for MAGAtism and its demogogue leader cult figure.

What do you like most? (I’m not saying there aren’t any pros, more trying to understand which ones outweigh burning down our trade relationships)

That’s the one issue that’s got me floored and up in arms, I suppose. Everything else I’d be happy to tune out like I did with Biden.

Let’s start with the fact that (at least ostensibly) a school is not going to be able to make health decisions for my child, contrary to my desires or wishes. That hospitals and clinics are being forced to stop handing out chemical castration drugs and cross sex hormones to confused kids that need help. That they aren’t going to be able to destroy a young woman’s body because she is confused and scared of puberty. That right there is all I need. Oh, this tariff situation is gonna suck big time. But we aren’t going to passively let children mutilated their bodies. This economic stuff is stupid as hell, but the opposition party’s position on GAC, minors, and Parental Rights? That’s pure fucking evil.

Top White House and administration officials have been promising businesses, consumers and fellow Republicans more “certainty” on trade in the coming days, eager to calm skittish markets and avoid the stock market plunge that accompanied the White House’s initial tariff roll-outs.

But they have one problem: Donald J. Trump.

What Reagan is saying seems so obvious. I understand that Trump possibly actually doesn't get it, but it's so disappointing that so few of the rest of them are willing to admit it.

                                  I was only joking
